About Erden Eruç
Having
studied in Turkey and the USA, and worked in
the USA as a Technical Specialist till the age
of 41, Erden is a voyager at heart who aims
to complete a human powered circumnavigation
of the globe. Involved in many different types
of sports since childhood, Erden is also the
first Turkish sportsman to successfully complete
high wall rock climbing.
Erden established the Around-n-Over organization
in 2003 to educate and inspire children, based
on his Six Summits journeys. Having completed
the first and probably the most difficult phase
of his journey across the Pacific successfully,
Eruç slipped anchor from Bodega Bay port on
Wednesday, July 11, at 04.30pm, Turkey local
time for his next big rowing adventure across
the Pacific.

Six Summits Project
Erden Eruç is "rowing" his way to
success in his human powered circumnavigation
around the globe. During his Six Summits project,
which is due to be completed in 2012, Erden
will cycle across land, climb the highest summits
on six different continents, and row his way
across vast oceans. In the course of these journeys,
Erden will raise funds for the non-profit organization
Around-n-Over, aiming to inspire children through
lessons learned from human powered adventures.
During the Six Summits project that will be
completed in 6 years, Around-n-Over will provide
news about the project, keep the readers updated
and display a brave man's struggle with the
nature, only using raw human power. This way,
Erden will be able to share his views and experiences
especially with the children and fulfill Around-n-Over's
mission to teach through lessons learned from
human powered adventures. Erden also aims to
help educate the children in Turkey with the
cooperation of ILKYAR Foundation.
